The Oaks Ignore Their Pleas

What Should Education Look Like in the 21st Century?

Posted in General by Jeff Graves on October 26, 2013

A great article from Wired Magazine on the role of collaboration and problem solving in education our kids. The information revolution has changed so many aspects of our lives, but the US education system is largely run much as it was in the 19th century, with a focus on rote memorization and testing. Given that the 21st century economy is largely being driven by organizations built around solving big problems (of which we’ve got many), doesn’t it make sense that our education system should focus on those things more?
